What we did

Creed Miles & Co were asked to submit a proposal for the re-covering of 2,000m2 of exhibition space
flooring for the Science Museum.

THE BRIEF

The Museum wanted the flooring to last a period of seven years, during which time an expected 4 million visitors would visit the museum.
Exhibits of approximately 4 tonnes each would be on permanent display, with secondary exhibits of 1 and 2 tonnes each on limited display.
A floor covering that would match the refurbished colour scheme, would also be a factor of great
importance.

THE SOLUTION

After close consultation with the Science Museum facilities managers, many samples and tests of
various products, we proposed that a Petrol Blue Altro Safety Flooring D25 vinyl sheet should be used.
The Creedmiles team stripped the old floor out and laid the new floor within seven days, delivering the job on time and within budget.
